Spring Break!

It has been one hectic week at school. Everyone has just been waiting for the break, and I swear by Friday (even Thursday) most of the kids had left their brains at home in bed! But we only have one week left of this term when the break is over. This year is 3/4 over! Can you believe it? I, for one, am really looking forward to school being out for summer!

I was talking to some of my colleagues on Friday, mentioning that I need to get Gabe registered for Kindergarten. One of them looked at me strangely, and said, "By the way, Kindergarted registration was last month." Oh, joy! So, I get to start the paperwork this week to get permission for Gabe to go to school out in Tooele. There is an elementary school just up the street from the second school that I teach at. There is also a day care in that area that will transport him to school, whatever schedule he might be on. I hope this all works out. I think it will. Most of the schools in this area are year-round, and that really wouldn't work with my schedule! Anyway, I am looking forward to getting several things done this week, as well as getting a little rest!

We won't be going anywhere for Easter seeing as John has to work, but we will miss everyone wherever they may go. Let us all know how things go in all the vacations spots. We love to read all the adventures.

Catching up on Gabe's Big Day!

Ok. Now I have some time to show you what the last few days has been. I will begin with the actual day of his birthday. Dad was waiting for us to get home from school so Gabe could get his special surprise: He was so excited, we went straight outside to give it a spin. It took a few

false starts, but he soon started to get the hang of it. After a couple of circles around the driveways, Madi took him to park.

After dinner, we went bowling! We had them put up the bumpers, and it was a good thing for all of us! Madi even got a couple of strikes because it bounced off the bumper and hit the pins just right. It was really sad, though. Madi beat me by 1 point, and I only beat Gabe by 2 points! John had the best score of the evening, but even that was not a great one. We did have a great time, though.

Afterwards, we went home for cake and ice cream and a few more gifts.

But, Gabe is one on those extremely lucky birthday boys who gets more than one party. On Wednesday I took Gabe, Jonas and one of Gabe's friends, Henri, to Chuck E. Cheese. We had a great time.We are looking forward to tomorrow's family get-together at Sara's. We will have a simple dinner (Hawaiian haystacks) and cake and ice cream. I hope everyone has gotten the message.

Gabe's Birthday!

Gabe is officially 5 years old!!!!!
The big party will be at Sara's house on Saturday between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. We will be doing dinner, we just haven't decided exactly what. Something simple but good.
We've had 2 parties, so far, and and Gabe is really looking forward to one more. I will do pictures for everyone tomorrow night when I have more time from the other 2 parties: one with just us, and one with Jonas and Gabe's friend Henri.

We hope to see everyone at Sara's on Saturday!
